Workforce actions
Allows authorised planners to add and maintain workforce movements. A workforce action normally contains:
- Department;
- action type;
- timing;
- FTE impact;
- duration where applicable;
- ramp profile where applicable;
- explanatory notes or description.
How to use it
- Select a Department.
- Compare available FTE and effective FTE.
- Review the first and peak shortfalls.
- Identify which existing movements explain the supply path.
- Add or edit a workforce action if testing or maintaining a plan.
- Select an appropriate ramp profile for new starters.
- Review the resulting alignment against requirement and budget.
Available versus effective FTE
Available FTE represents people expected to be present. Effective FTE reflects their productive contribution. New starters may be available before they are fully effective because of ramping.
