Purpose

Scenario Management creates and controls alternative planning views.

What it shows

Headline cards include:

• draft scenarios;
• committed snapshots;
• active Workbench plan;
• Production protection.

The page lists available draft Scenarios and shows:

• Scenario name and description;
• status;
• creation information;
• whether it is the active Workbench plan;
• controls to activate, edit or review the Scenario;
• committed snapshot history.

How to use it

1. Create a Scenario with a meaningful name and purpose.
2. Make it the active Workbench plan.
3. Use Workbench pages to apply Scenario assumptions.
4. Review its result in the relevant pages.
5. Commit a named snapshot when the option is ready for comparison.
6. Return to Production when finished.

Production remains protected while a draft Scenario is being developed.

Scenario Comparison

Purpose

Scenario Comparison explains how a committed Scenario differs from Production.

What it shows

Select a committed Scenario snapshot to view:

• first divergence;
• peak requirement difference;
• peak FTE-gap difference;
• worst committed gap;
• supply basis;
• weekly Production requirement;
• committed Scenario requirement;
• Production available FTE;
• Production gap;
• committed gap;
• gap difference;
• material assumption changes.

How to use it

1. Select a committed snapshot.
2. Review when the Scenario first diverges from Production.
3. Check whether it improves or worsens requirement and gap.
4. Review the assumptions responsible for the change.
5. Consider whether the result is operationally credible.
6. Use the comparison as decision evidence; do not assume that committing a

snapshot has automatically replaced Production.
