A guided first visit
Suggested walkthrough
Use this sequence to introduce a new planner to the connected planning story without entering technical setup.
A suggested demonstration walkthrough
For a first-time user, the following sequence gives a coherent overview without entering technical setup.
Current Position
Start with the headline position, first shortfall, peak gap, transformation benefit and budget.
Demand & Requirement
Select a material week and show the calculation bridge from baseline demand to resolved requirement and FTE gap.
Forecast
Show:
- approved baseline versus resolved forecast;
- historical data and normalisation;
- Contact Rate Data;
- pending revisions and forecast versions.
Explain that both Time-series and Contact Rate Forecasts use the same review and staging workflow.
Transformations
Show one demand transformation and one requirement-side transformation. Explain lifecycle, incremental impact and BAU absorption.
Workforce
Show available versus effective FTE, planned movements and ramping.
Scenario
Activate the prepared Scenario, show that the Workbench context changes, then open Scenario Comparison to compare the committed result with Production.
Intelligence
Return to Production and show:
- Executive Overview;
- Staffing Outlook;
- Forecast Intelligence;
- Operational Delivery Intelligence;
- Executive Report.
Emphasise that these pages interpret but do not change the plan.
Configuration
Finish with Configuration Overview and briefly show:
- Work Types and requirement methods;
- Department and Queue planning;
- shrinkage;
- ramp profiles;
- budget;
- governance thresholds.
This demonstrates that the visible plan is produced from explicit, reusable rules rather than hidden calculations.
